Castelmagno d’Alpeggio D.O.P.
According to the procedural guideline, the Valliera Farm, brings cows to altitude from June until early October (the real Castelmagno of Alpeggio DOP can only be produced from May to October) and works the milk exclusively in the village of Valliera, in Valle Grana, province of Cuneo. This hamlet was recovered thanks to a beautiful project born from a group of 10 friends, wineproducers and enthusiast, with the aim to get new lease of life to a mountain’s borough uninhabited since decades. The pastures are located above the borough of Valliera, between 1600 and 1900 meters of altitude. Hence the designation of alpine pasture.
