PDO cheeses from Lombardy

Lombardy is an incredible economic locomotive with its European record of 14 PDO cheeses, more than 5 million tons of milk delivered, 46% of which used in cheese making, 580,000 cows both from mountain pastures and from farms in the plain. The 37% of the dairy sector export comes from Lombardy itself.
